migraine took its toll

i got on the wii this morning and since tuesday i've lost 7.3 pounds due to my migraine.
i couldn't keep food down, it was either coming out of one end or the other.
now i'm trying to ease my way back into food.
i just had some cucumbers and water.
i have to go to the grocery.
i know i need to kick start my weight loss again because it had stalled, but this is NOT what I had in mind.

taking it easy this weekend.
it's going to be cold and rainy.
i'm going to clean and just avoid certain if not all people.
i'm going to get a hair cut.
and possibly color my hair.

here's hoping to a peaceful and relaxing weekend.

Migraine Free Friday

woke up migraine free and slept thru the night as well. this has been a good friday for me.
picked the kid and one of her friends up from college so she could go to the doctor.
it's a lot of driving, so i saw scott was home and stopped up to see if the kid could take a look at his car that he's selling.
i don't want to shell out the money and she not want it.
he was all scruffy, i was like focus focus, not on the sex, but on the car, so hard.
he was tired cuz he had to drive a truck last night and he's been up over 24 hours straight.
i told him i had done nearly 48 hours with no sleep this past week so i feel for him.
he showed the kid the car and she likes it.
she has to practice driving a stick down at college on this boy's truck.
i told him i could buy it by the end of the year.
i have to save up the money.
it's not a lot, but it's a lot to come up with at one time.

i'm going to haul the kids back to college then i'm coming home and relaxing!!!

weekend goals

this weekend i'd like to get some stuff from hobby lobby, 1/2 priced books, and see if i can get back on the wagon with drawing and painting. i have been unable to find any paintings i like to hang up on my bedroom wall and i need a landscape or flower painting for the dining room. i see myself painting in my mind, but it was 15 when i did my first and last oil painting.

crafts, painting, sewing, quilting, knitting, that was all my mom's thing. and no matter how much i tried, she always critized my efforts, so after the painting fiasco i just gave up. after she died, the thought of painting is bittersweet. i want to paint. i enjoyed painting and drawing when i was younger, but i have a built in anxiety for it.

i think i will work on it. now that i'm 40 days plus not watching tv, i am finding more time on my hands and i'd like to be productive with that time. grandma moses didn't start painting until she was in her 70's it is never too late to learn and grow!

all my kid could talk about was the stupid royal wedding.
now that it is over, i am so happy!!!!
sick of hearing about it, i bet the coverage won't die down until Monday, but it's hogged up the t.v., internet, and my kid.
i thought it would have been funny if one of them would have changed their mind, but i guess not.

so back to the real world... i know it sucks, but that's where i live, how about you?

weather sucks, it's windy, cold, and raining off and on.
next weekend will be nicer, going to take the kid to tour a technical college Friday, on Saturday going to go see thor with dad and the kid, then visit cousins, then on sunday going to go visit the kid's mamaw as a surprise for mother's day.

so i need like $100 for gas just for that weekend. going to put like 600 miles on the car, dad is 2 hours west, linda is 2 hours south, and the tech college is 2 hours east, so that's a tank of gas each day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, cuz each trip is just over 300 miles and my new little car get a little over 400 miles a tank, that's if we don't run the air conditioning.

but we don't visit often so it'll be a nice change of pace. i'm looking forward to the visits but not the driving. i think my butt will stay cramped until tuesday. but the whole point of the newer car was so we could go visit more and save on gas.

well the dog is staring at me so she either has to go out to pee or wants petted.

waiting for the results

the mri was loud and cold. it sounded like bad techno music. i expected moby to jump out at any second to spin some tunes to it.

other then that it was a quick in and out. now just to wait for the results which will be monday or tuesday since this is the weekend.

i'm keeping as busy as possible this weekend.

i'm moving 3 garages down into a 3 bedroom starting next weekend.
i'm going to prep for that migration. i told my kid it doesn't count as a move since no movie van is needed. so we are calling it our migration. we can a 2 car garage over a 1 and a bigger kitchen and 1 additional bedroom.
i'm going to get some strapping strong laddies from church to move our heavy stuff and the rest Gabi and I can walk over.

Then a major cleaning fest in this old apartment and we will be moved.
I'm planning next saturday for all the heavy lifting and to be down by the 2nd saturday in November so we can get everything turned back over on the 2 bedroom to the apt. manager.

so exciting. i go to indy this weekend to visit my friend, who is a boy, but is not my boyfriend. :)

so lots to do to keep my mind off possible bad test results.
and i will not fall over, i will not fall over, i will not fall over.

Another Boring Weekend!

I have one more boring weekend to get through until next week when my kid comes home from college. There's cleaning to do and more cleaning to do. I honestly wish things could just stay clean. I really do hate housework. I can't afford to hire someone and I loathe the tasks. Dishes, laundry, vacuuming, picking up, folding, putting away, taking out trash, dusting, scooping the litter box and it's just like the instructions on the back of a shampoo bottle, rinse and repeat... I don't like the repeat part.

I buy paper plates, plastic utensils, and anything that I can throw away rather then having to keep it and wash it. I'd rather fill the landfill and rot the planet then do dishes. Does that make me a bad person? Or just extremely lazy? And is being lazy bad?
