Independence Day Blues

Happy Independence Day my fellow Americans!
Please blow up things responsibly!

I'm so depressed today.
I have the right to be depressed.
I have the right to pursue happiness.
You notice the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights don't even mention happiness only the Declaration of Independence does and it only says it is a right to pursue it.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" - Declaration of Independence.

The United States of America began with the best of intentions and the noblest of purposes and now it is a mess, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

We might have lost our way some but we still believe in freedom and freedom is a beautiful and rare thing in today's world.

I have choices.
I might make horrible choices, but that is my right.
I don't have to cover my head or body and only show my eyes.
I can read, work and drive a car.
I can marry or not marry whom ever I want.
I can have sex with whom ever I want.
Sure, I might burn in Hell, but again it is my decisions to make.

I am blessed to live in a country where I have so much freedom and so many choices.
I make mistakes, but I love that I can work, pay my own way and be my own woman.
I am important and I do matter and I do contribute to society in a positive way.
I don't need a man to hold my hand, protect me, or provide for me.

God Bless America!
And I bless God!

Hey Hey Now

Hey now we are getting little glimpses of spring with the big hits from winter in between.
I love winter but I'm so over it now.
I'm ready for some sunshine and flip flops.
I haven't shaved my legs since November!!!!
I'm really hairy right now.
I'm excited to shave, get a pedicure and just go outside and not freeze!
Come on spring!!!!

I think everyone in Ohio feels the same.
At least all my neighbors do!
We got up to nearly 70 degrees this past Sunday and it was amazing!
I saw people I hadn't seen in months outside.
We got all caught up on our silly little chit chat.

I took Sophie the Puggle to the dog park.
She is OUT OF SHAPE big time!
She was worn out and started getting snippy with the other pups.
She ran, played, and sniffed butts for an hour straight.

We went and got ice cream.
We had all the windows down.
It felt like FREEDOM!!!

This weekend is supposed to get into the 50's and I am going to enjoy every second of it!

I suggest if you've let winter get you down get outside and soak up that sun!
Because, at least in Ohio, the weather is more Bipolar then I am!

jack, dr. pepper, and cherry syrup

went to the summer work outing, free booze and food, i had 4 jack, dr. pepper's, and cherry syrup drinks. i was a buzzing, switched over to water and managed to come in 2nd place in the pool tournament.i won a visa gift card and a 10 peice bamboo serving set, which our company makes.

so it was a fun day. i suck at bowling and corn hole, but i'm okay with pool. i don't think i embarassed myself too badly. and i had fun. the food was okay. i didn't eat much.

got home and me and the kiddo's got subway and chinese. got loads of leftover's in the fridge. my hips hurt from bowling and my legs hurt from all the walking i've been doing with my nieces. i think i've walked 5 1/2 miles since wednesday, which is 5 miles more then i usually walk.

back to work on monday. i hate that work drags and vacatins fly by.
i hope i'm done with my period, it has seemed to stop, as if 16 days wasn't enough!!!

Independence Day!!!

Today is my 40th day of not watching tv.
i feel independent.
i wish my kid would jump on board.

i got to spend time with my family tv.
i don't like fireworks.
i don't like fire.
i have lots of memories from childhood of firework "accidents".

it's a time of year to look past bbbq's and fireworks.
our forefather's really thought ahead,
separation of church and state,
freedom of speech,
freedom of religon,
such radical concepts back in their time.
we take them for granted.
these are still radical concepts for millions in the world.

be thankful we are free.
be thankful every independence day for our constitution.

Memorial Day 2011

Memorial Day is a day to remember those who have served in America's armed services. My family has a long tradition of serving this country. So Thank you Grandpa Stokes, Dad, Mom, Uncle Jerry, my two brothers, John and Jason, my sister-in-laws Donna and Tracy. Thank you for your sacrifices during WWII, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and the current battle against Terrorism.
Thank you for fighting for freedom and democracy!!!!
I love you all very much.

I'd also like to thank all service men and woman who have served and are serving in the armed forces for their sacrifices for freedom and democracy.
I have traveled over seas and I know there is no country as free and as blessed as the U.S.A. So thank you, to each and every one of you, for the every day freedoms we have here in America!!!

It is easy to forget how free we are here. We can disagree with our President and other politicians. We can hold protests. We can vote. We can run for office. There are so many freedoms in this country that are not available in all countries. We forget how blessed we are to live in America!!!

So on Memorial Day let us remember, it's not about the hot dogs, the parades, the indy race or even the fireworks, it is about each man and woman that have served in the military and what they have sacraficed to keep freedom free!!!

yes, i do have a brain, but it's tumor free

my brain has no abnormal growths or tumors!!!!
yipee!!!!

my right side balance system is just weak.
so i am truly unbalanced.
there's actually something called balance therapy.
i am still paying off my kid's physical therapy.
so i also read a wii fit can help with balance.
so i think santa is going to bring us one of those for xmas.

i'm so happy to not be sick.
i feel free and clear.
fear, leave me be, u r not wanted here.

4th of July

I'd just like to say that the 4th of July is awesome. Well, the fireworks suck, too loud, and I'm on a diet, so I can't eat at any of the cook outs, and this year I wasn't even invited to any cook outs. It's really hot outside too.

But that's not why the 4th of July is awesome. The 4th of July is awesome because it represent FREEDOM. Free is my fave word in the whole wide world. And all of it's nouns, adjetives, verbs, etc... like Freedom. I love the whole freedom of speech. We wouldn't be able to blog whatever the hell we want if it weren't for our forefathers (not 4 fathers, but those really old dudes that live back in 1776 and are now dead). They thought ahead to the future and they weren't selfish. They granted rights and freedoms to all men (and I'm sure they meant women too) That was a novel and controversial idea back in their day.

People being equal wasn't a popular concept. It still isn't. How many people have u met that like to think they r better then everyone around them? I've met too many of those types and I got news for them, their shit stinks just as bad as everyone else. So America bless God and God bless America for the 4th of July our Independce Day!!!
