finally headache free

Thank GOD!!! Woke up this Sunday morning headache free at 4AM sneezing my head off. I guess whatever was stuck up in my head came out my nose. totally gross and disgusting, but what sweet relief.

the weather is going to be sweet today. i think i'll take Sophie to the dog park this afternoon. I can't over do it or my headache might come back, but she's such a good pup. She loves seeing all the birds out. She gets so excited and forgets she's attached to me via the leash and nearly yanks my arm out of the socket to chase them birdies.

she's so silly, thinking she's a bird dog, when i know she's a couch laying, pizza eating, squeaky ball dog!

got my fingers crossed i am on the road to recovery!!!

spring brings me headaches

my head has been aching since sunday. i think i gotta call the doc today and see if it's
A - a cold
B - another sinus infection (that would make 2 since Jan.)
C - an ear infection
D - allergies

the right side of my head over my eye, around my ear and down into my jaw and neck have been killing me. i've tried every non prescription pain reliever known to human kind since sunday and none work. i took claritin this morning in a final attempt to see if it's an allergy, but it hasn't worked.

i can't remember a time in my life when i did not get headaches!
migrains, tension headaches, flu, cold, sinus, allergies, etc...
if there's a headache to be gotten i get it and i just don't think that's fair. i have a friend that says she only gets a headache when she has a cold or the flu. i was jealous.

i tracked once how often i got a headaches in the course of a month, i had some sort of headache 26 out of 30 days that month!!! I've been cat scanned, MRI'd, etc... I'm told there is nothing wrong with my brain. but it hurts more often then not. I just need a brain transfer! Sign me up to be first in line for that medical experiment.

family fun and melt downs

just wrapped up 2 nights with family staying over, my 2 neices, their mom, and her mom (gab's aunt and grandma) it was filled with fun, laughter, and a few melt downs. it's hard to believe that no matter how old you get that when you get tired you get cranky. alex and i had to take a nap after our big mall adventure. every part of my body hurt. but i didn't spend that much money.

then linz twisted her ankle about 10pm last night and sounded like she was dying, less then 30 minutes later she's out cold. amazing how much a twisted ankle hurts when you are tired on top of it. i haven't heard her cry that much since she was 2 and now she's 11.

my headache and kink in my neck finally went away.

we did have fun, don't get me wrong. i love them. we laughed, played wii, watched dude, where's my car and steel magnolia's. there was plenty of gas humor. we had pizza's and cake. but 6 woman from the ages of 11 to 60 all in one house with only 3 bathrooms, it get's touch and go sometimes.

i hope they get home safely and visit again in a couple of months.

i got a brand new car, so shove ur roller skates up ur pie hole

okay, the car is a 2010 ford focus, and i was never good at roller skating, but i do love the brand new key song by melanie, i got a pair of roller skates and you got a brand new key!

but now i have a car payment, it's steep, cuz my credit sucks, and my tax money is gone, so i'm broke too, plus my car insurance went up cuz i got to carry more of it, since i owe on the car.

but the upside, it's wonderful. it's quiet, it's not falling apart, gab get her license with it. it's got all kinds of buttons. i can plug in my ipod to it, it gets excellent gas mileage. yep, i think i did pretty good.

now i can't afford the diet anymore, so i'm going to have to drop out of that and continue my weight loss goals on my own. i just have to limit my calories to around 1600 and i will lose approx. 1-2 pounds a week. it'll be slower, but healthy to do on my own.

plus, i am exercising on the very disrespectful wii. yes, i am unbalanced, why do u think i'm doing the balance exercises! duh!
but turns out in the yoga, i'm an excellent deep breather. yay me!

cut the ties that bind and gag

yesterday, i unfriended my "friend". he came to my town and didn't call or stop by, even tho i have x-mas gifts for him in my closet and he knows this. i called to check on him, and he said, oh, i'm here in town, can i call you back i'm visiting someone!!! he called back and instead of saying, hey let me swing by, grab the stuff, say hi, he said i'm on my way home!!! it really hurt me! Am i over reacting???
Cuz i do that sometimes!

but he's the one that wanted to still be friends. and he tells me he's just meeting with lawyers and heading home, that he'd probably be on the road before i got home from work. i waited until 7 to call him and he was still in town!!! he called back around 8. i know it's late, but 15 minutes, seriously. i am going to back up what i can and ship it to him. i've just been hurt enough!!!

stomach pain and misery

with some relief today, i've discovered my aching belly has been due to the antibiotic i got from the dentist for the dental work i'm having done. i did not know you had to drink a full glass of water with each dose. i did see you needed to have a light snack or glass of milk with it, but since i just drink shakes i wasn't able to comply with that. my stomach has been paying the price. so now i take it with a shake and drink a full glass of water with it, i'm hoping that will do the trick. i got one more week on it and i'm miserable. i feel like i've gain 5 pounds from all the bloating, gas, runs, and pain. my stomach looks like a balloon.

if my runs don't clear up by tonight i'll have to skip weigh in. can't go there and stink up the bathroom. that would be totally gross!!! but my scale says i've lost another 3 pounds. so let's keep it going on. this adversity only strengthens me. at least that's what i keep telling myself!

tax time

got my taxes filed. get back money at federal and state, but owe city :(
but i will have a huge down payment for a new(er) car. poor betty, is on her last legs. she's 15 years old, has almost 280,000 miles on her and can't go in park anymore. she needs a new windshield, brakes in the back, whatever is wrong with the car not able to go into park, she's leaking oil and transmission fluid. i think it's safe to say betty is ready to retire!!!

i'm going to have a car payment for the first time since 2004!!! that will be an adjustment, plus i'll have to up my insurance from collision only to comprehensive. my kid will be driving the new(er) car, so it's going to need all the coverage it can get! but it's going to be nice to have a new(er) set of wheels. it takes me 2 hours to see my family. that's 100 miles one way!

here's hoping my new(er) car is as reliable as betty has been!!

16.1 after 3 weeks!!!

It's only been 3 weeks on optifast 800, but i've lost 16.1 pounds. I feel lighter, fluffier, and just optimistic. I have my doubts at times. But the drops in my chlosterol and tryglceride numbers keep me moving forward on it. I gotta keep it going, my life depends on it!!!

Today was dental work day (boo) I got numbed up on my right side real good. I looked like I had a stroke! My kid laughed at me every time I spoke. But I strived to find my zen during the procedure. I got to listen to my Ipod, which I could barely hear, even cranked, over that UNGODLY sound of the water drill. Sounded like the noise the aliens make in the aliens movies before they attack. It actually hurt my ears. I'm on antibiotics, gotta use a special toothbrush, and dip it in prescription mouth wash. No toothpaste for the next 6-8 weeks. But I'm doing alright. The pain is minimal, which is nice. I gotta take motrin today and tomorrow to keep swelling down, but i expected it to be much worse. The lower numbing shots did hurt quite a bit. But I just zoned in on my tunes and repeated the word relax in my head. It worked for me!!! I'm good for 2 weeks then the left side gets it :(
