The big move is done.
Objects placed around each room.
Almost feels like home.
Adjusting to the new night noises.
Wondering where this road leads.
I'm feeling accomplished and pleased.
This is good.
This is right.
This is where I want to be.
The kid is figuring out where to put her stuff.
She overtakes everything she touches.
The buffer is small but necessary.
She's not a child anymore, but a reluctant adult.
She craves my attention like a 3 year old.
I try my hardest to turn her away.
She has to stand on her own as much as I can get her to let me go.
Her red hair matches her quick temper and passionate emotions.
Every day there is some drama in her life that will undo her.
OSU is proving a testing ground for her patience which was always little.
Yes, we are influx.
Yes, we are taking on new challenges.
But I tell her, this is how a life gets lived, in motion, not in rest.
So we will see where we end up.
I hope for her and I both we enjoy the journey and love the destination.
We are settling down into our own for the first time ever home.
Time will tell, it always does.
I have bi-polar disorder II and borderline personality disorder. This is sometimes called being Tri-Polar. I write because it makes me feel better.

Day 19 of no tv challenge
life is good. tv is so not necessary to every day living. now i need to bring my kid around to that and i can save $50 a month. now giving up the dr. pepper not so easy. we went one day and my kid comes down stairs and says she's got a headache from all the days without soda pop. i had to point out to her it had been less then 24 hours since we last had some pop. she's like that's it and i was like yup!!!
i have begun the no soda pop challenge fresh this morning. after sleeping the entire weekend with brutus the english bulldog and sophie the puggle, i am sleep deprived. i had a 4 hour round trip drive back home for my baby cousins 4th birthday and needless to say i needed the soda pop to stay awake to drive.
i did not know an english bull dog made so much noise. there are sounds that i have no idea how to describe. he even made a noise that sounded like the velociraptors in jurassic park!!! but he's so cute doing it!!! at one point, at 2AM sophie popped her head up, looked at him and looked at me, like shut him up! we all got up and took a break outside. every night he stayed with us we got up at least twice between midnight and 7am.
last night was the first night we didn't have him since thursday and sophie and i were out by 9:30 and we didn't get up once!!!
dogs are cute for a reason, it's so we don't give up on them when they drive us crazy, it's all part of God's plan :) or the Dog's plan????

Adventures in Dog Sitting
Brutus the english bulldog has joined us until Sunday. He is so ugly he is cute. I've been humped, scratched, licked, nibbled, and nose rubbed. He's whizzed on one of my flowers outside so much the leaves are weighted down to the ground with puddles on them. I think I'll let that mess evaporate in the heat. Can you febreze outside?
He's too funny. He keeps sniffing our puggle, Sophie. He keeps running into the walls. He makes so many noises. Snorts, grunts, sniffling, snotting, and some I can't even describe. Great, now Sophie has decided she like his very expensive all natural food and is eating it!
Sophie even had to sniff the bird seeds this morning to see if they were something she wanted to eat and they weren't. She was throwing a fit because I was feeding the birds and not her.
What is he doing now? I think he has an itch but can't reach it. He's trying to get to his hind quarters but his head is too big. I think his head weighs like 7 pounds. He's staring at me now. Well I'm off to figure out how to scratch Brutus' itch. I'd never do this for a man. That is for darn sure!
I think this is going to be a long weekend!
